Hope you all had a better week than I did. Work for me was crazy chaotic and last night I couldn’t take it any longer and I had to uncork a bottle of wine. So grateful to have made it to the weekend and I’m ready to enjoy all the things I have lined up. But first lets go over all the current links I love…
A few months ago I saw a blogger carrying the cutest little hard-box clutch with her name on it. I was in love! However when I looked it up, the price was something heinous and I couldn’t justify spending that on a clutch. However, I never forgot about that cute little clutch. I have a New York trip in September and a wedding the following weekend in October, so I figured this would be the perfect time to up my clutch game. I started Googling dupe personalized clutches and I found this gem! It was love at first site and the price is 100% do-able. Now I just have to figure out if I want it to say “Laurient” or “Mrs. Toal” – decisions decisions.
Things are going to be changing in the Toal House pretty soon. Mike and I have decided to go meatless (red, pork, and poultry) at home. We will still eat the occasional shrimp, shellfish, and fish – wild caught only. No more eggs and we will alternate between regular cheese and vegan cheese (we already gave up milk and other dairy). After being enlightened a bit on the meat industry I’ve decided to cut back, I mean I eat eggs every other morning for breakfast and then I eat a meat based protein with lunch and dinner daily. When we’re out to dinner or at someones house we will will order/eat whatever we want #treatyoself, but at home its a no go for now.
This means I need to gear up a whole new style of cooking and add some vegetarian and vegan recipes to my repertoire. We love Mexican food, so when I came across this recipe on Pinterest I was like Pin Pin Pin! This recipe checks off so many boxes for me – it’s meatless, it’s Mexican flavors, and it’s a casserole that can feed us for at least 2 nights and 1 lunch!
I saw this top back in the spring and really liked it, but for whatever reason I never jumped on it. Two weeks I saw it at Nordstrom and wanted to try it on, but I was in a rush so I didn’t get a chance, but it’s been on my mind ever since. God must be sending me a sign because while doing my weekly browsing on Chronicles Of Frivolity, I saw Katey McFarlan wearing it in her Life Lately post. Too cute, I love it in black and pink and will definitely need to pick it up for myself – back to the mall I go!
Delivery day is my favorite day. I actually online shop at lot less than you might. I prefer to go into a store and feel fabrics and try the things on. The experience of shopping is fun for me and the instant gratification of walking out with my purchases is the best part. However, as my figure has changed and my weight has fluctuated, I’ve grown frustrated with the options in stores for mid-size and plus women. A friend of mine told me about Dia & Co. a fashion subscription box that caters to sizes 12 and up! Because they style for curvier women and I’m comfortable with having them pick out things to expand my wardrobe.
I’ve received two boxes so far. Each box contains 5 items from there you can choose what you’d like to keep and what you prefer to return in their prepaid envelope. It’s such a simple process! My first box was great I kept two things because I truly loved them. The second box I kept a simple pair of great-fitting black jeans. Each box costs $20, but if you keep anything from the box that $20 is credited towards your purchase. If you keep all 5 items you get a discount off the entire box as well! I definitely recommend giving it a try if you’re a curvy girl living that fabulous size size 12 and up life!
