Shoes : Report | Bag : Tommy Bahama | Necklace : Nordstrom Last Call | Sunglass : Old, but how cute are these
One of my all-time favorite colors to wear is orange. I mange to wear it all year long by alternating shades of orange. In the fall and winter I tend to gravitate towards burnt oranges and terracottas. Spring is when I break out the pastel oranges and “sherberts,” as I like to call them :). And then finally in the summer I love a good tangerine orange. When I saw this dress in Old Navy and I knew needed it. For starters, it has an off the shoulder neckline – love it. Next, it is a shift style dress – my fave. Lastly, it’s the perfect shade of feel-good orange! It is not available on Old Navy’s website anymore, so I rounded up a few orange dresses in similar styles. The Vince Camuto dress is super similar, it even has the little ties on the 3/4 sleeves!
I wore this fun outfit for a trip to Asbury Park, NJ. It’s a great town that was recently voted the “Coolest Small Town in America” by Budget Travel. We live like 40 minutes from there and haven’t explored nearly as much as we should. The weather on Sunday was perfect for the last weekend of July and we had a wonderful time brunching and walking the boardwalk. Can you even believe that July is over, we’re now officially in August! I spent July doing a lot of shopping and trying a lot of new products and I wanted to share a few of my favorites from July…
I picked up a couple of these from the Norstrom Anniversary Sale and I loved them so much that I went back for more. It’s safe to say that this was my favorite thing from the Nsale. It’s the perfect style to dress up or down, so pretty much an essential piece to your wardrobe. Right now they’re only $17.90 until August 6th.
This is a new purchase, but I will say I’ve worn it every day since buying it. At first application I wasn’t a fan. I tried to wear it on its own and it wasn’t as pigmented as I wanted. I decided to give it another chance since it was pricey. I layered it on top of Stila’s Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick in Perla. The gloss is a cream consistency, it’s super hydrating, and feels comfortable on. I promise you it’s the most bomb combo – try it!
This is an oldie but goodie for me. I used to use this a lot, but I found it inconvenient that I had to travel to the mall for it. This month I picked up a new bottle and fell in love all over again. Its helpful for breakouts and just helping cleanse your face in general. I also love that it is in a spray bottle because I feel like I don’t use more than I need. I swear by this stuff and will never let the journey to get to LUSH deter me from repurchasing it ever again.
Okay, so subscription boxes are EVERYWHERE. I had no plans of giving in to the hype. But then a coworker told me about Dia & Co. She was doing some modeling for them and they gave her a gift card to try out their box. She really liked it, so I decided to try it out. Dia & Co. is like Stitch Fix in the sense that a stylist picks out 5 pieces for you to add to you wardrobe. However, Dia & Co. only caters to sizes 12 and up. I love the idea that these stylists probably have a better working knowledge of dressing curvier women. Also, I wanted to be introduced to new brands that I can’t find out and about. In my first box I got a pair of jeans that I love and a maxi wrap dress that I wear almost weekly and get tons of compliments on. I just got my August box and will do a try on in my IG stories, so make sure you’re following me.
What are your July favorites?
