TGIF for sure! This week was a quick one and I’m grateful for that because last Saturday I had to work and then Sunday was Mother’s Day, so I didn’t have much of a weekend. Being on the dawn of new weekend is pretty much what I look forward to all week. This weekend is another busy one chock full of errands, a work event, quality time with Mike, as well as fitting in some me time!
This Saturday, I will be attending the New York Baby Show for work, but I kind of enjoy these trade shows, so I don’t mind it much. Truthfully, I love baby stuff even though I am sans baby! This is a consumer trade show so tickets are open to the public and it’s a great way for moms and expectant moms to learn about products and services they may want or need for their babies. I’ll be walking the show, talking to other companies trying to foster relationships for brand partnerships. Also God willing, there will be a Baby Toal at some point in the not so distant future, so it’s nice to get an idea of things I might like for when I’m eventually a mom. If you happen to be at the NY Baby Show, I’d love to meet you! For those of you who would love to see what the event is all about follow me on Snapchat (@laurientalexis), I’ll be sharing my day there. Monday’s blog post will be a recap of the show.
As much as I don’t mind spending my Saturday working at the NY Baby Show, Mike isn’t crazy about me working two weekends in a row. He’s been working late most days and not getting home until 8:30pm, so we haven’t spent much time together this week. We need to make sure that we carve out sometime for us. I mentioned in Wednesday’s post that a powerful way to reconnect is to create a weekly ritual. Ours is breakfast/brunch on Sundays. So Sunday morning I’ll get my gel mani and then we’ll go to brunch before we start our errands. Our Sunday mornings together are the absolute best part of every weekend and I’m sure this weekend it will be extra sweet.
Hope you all have a happy, healthy, fulfilling weekends enjoying the things and people you love!
