As a kid I had a lot of friends, but somewhere in my early teen years I seemed to parted ways with many of them. I didn’t find myself fitting into any particular circle or groups. I only had two real girlfriends my own age and for the most part I kept to myself. Those are the years I really got to know my truest and most dependable friend, my Mom! I lovingly call my mom by her name, Judy, most of the time. It started as a joke to annoy her when I was like 19 and it kind of just stuck – think she’s used to it by now.
Judy, is the most selfless person I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing. Her heart is way too big for her own good and I’d like to think I’ve inherited just a bit of that. I hear a lot of people swear they’ll never be like their parents, or that they’re mortified when they begin to sound like their mother. I’m the opposite. If I turn out to be the half the mother and woman that Judy was/is, I’d be in amazing shape!
Mother’s Day is a wonderful way to honor and acknowledge all the amazing moms like Judy out there. All the mother’s that do it all by putting their families first, cooking endless meals, helping with heaps of homework, are shoulders to cry on, and are pros at giving pep talks. If you’re struggling to think of a gift for mom, I’ve come up with a few ideas and rounded up a few of my favorite picks for each!
Everyone loves perfume as a gift because it can be pricey and it’s an item that people won’t usually buy for themselves. With various price ranges you’ll be sure to find something to fit your budget. If you don’t know what kind of scent your mom prefers I think going with a clean, fresh, citrusy fragrance is always a safe bet.
